Job Overview: We are seeking a talented WordPress Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our clients’ websites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WordPress architecture, plugins, themes, and customizations, along with proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The WordPress Developer will collaborate closely with our design and content teams to implement functional and visually appealing websites that meet our clients’ needs and specifications.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins according to project requirements.
  2. Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins to enhance functionality and meet specific client needs.
  3. Collaborate with designers to implement responsive and visually appealing designs.
  4. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize websites for speed and performance.
  5. Perform website maintenance tasks such as updates, backups, and security enhancements.
  6. Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth website operation.
  7. Stay updated on the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices.
  8. Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
  3. Proficiency in WordPress theme and plugin development using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  4. Experience with popular WordPress frameworks and libraries such as WooCommerce, Elementor, and Advanced Custom Fields.
  5. Familiarity with front-end development tools and frameworks such as Bootstrap, Sass, and jQuery.
  6. Solid understanding of web standards, responsive design principles, and SEO best practices.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  10. Experience with version control systems such as Git is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. WordPress certification or relevant professional certifications.
  2. Experience with other content management systems (CMS) such as Drupal or Joomla.
  3. Knowledge of server-side technologies such as MySQL, Apache, or NGINX.
  4. Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG).
  5. Experience with performance optimization techniques such as caching and CDN integration.
